Lee Branden 6 months agoI was really impressed by how well I was treated by the staff there. They showed the utmost respect for me as a customer. They answered my questions without hesitation and were professional. In a word, they were NICE ! They helped me resolve my issue and took their time to explain things to me. A young man in the computer department, and a young lady in the Geek Squad department were both exceptionally kind and gracious to me. As well as security. It really made my day. Thank Best Buys for hiring such extraordinary people!
Hade Munson a month agoRecently went here to buy a new tablet (specifically for drawing, but multipurpose was the ideal). An employee, Bill, helped me so patiently to find the section I was supposed to be in. Asked all the right questions and was very polite. When I was in the section, it took me a while to find the right tablet, but as soon as I made my decision Hannah was there to help me get the process started. Kind and understanding! Now, by far the most helpful employee was Psalm. He was so patient with me AND his coworkers while they retrieved the display version of the tablet I wanted. Charming, helpful, patient, and funny. Thank you guys for all of your help!
Dee Smith 7 months agoWord of advice, do not schedule a computer purchase pick up if you need to migrate the data from your old computer to the new one. You are better off having the new order delivered and then doing the migration and return yourself. I got a hard time from, Anthony; Store Tech. Supervisor, about not being able to get my trade-in value without either... -- leaving my old computer there for the transfer (for at least 2 days) or -- voiding the purchase in full, and re-purchasing w/out the trade-in deal This is a store policy to, according to them, protect from theft. This makes no sense, because you aren't even able to get the trade-in credit until the older computer model is delivered and logged in as a physical return, no? Also, if I had chosen to have the new computer delivered instead, this wouldn't have voided the trade-in deal. I'D LITERALLY BE IN POSSESSION OF BOTH COMPUTERS...so, isn't this what they claimed would put best buy at risk? On top of everything else, my older computer was knocked down to poor condition for the trade because of a minor chip at the edge of the screen. Like, really? This was per Anthony's appraisal, and after a good 40 minutes of his consistent mansplaining. No exaggeration here. I did not have this issue what-so-ever when I did this same thing a couple of years ago in Los Angeles County, CA. This is total paranoia on the stores part. If you can purchase elsewhere, then I highly suggest doing so.
Blake Anderson a month agoTerrible experience buying a television here. First I went to the timonium location and found a TV I liked, an open box QD7 and was repeatedly pressured into purchasing something else instead. After insisting, they told me they were unable to sell the TV to me because someone wasn't available to take it off the wall. This was after an associate insisted they don't sell TVs off the wall. Came back the next day and was told the TV was no longer for sale, despite it still being on display. The price for the exact same out of box model they just happened to have was now 530 dollars. I come to the Owings mills location find a TV I like and it takes three associates half an hour just to figure out how to sell the TV to me. They then added a remote, the TV didn't come with one. I assumed it was complimentary since they didn't ask if I wanted to purchase a remote and no, they just charged me and included a remote? Repeatedly during the process they insisted I shouldn't load the TV in my car and when they finally got it to the trunk they made me finish putting it into the back of my car myself for "liability" reasons. I've never had so much hassle just trying to purchase something and I definitely won't be back to best buy the next time I need a television.
