Mr. No Tengo Dinero 5 months agoToday was my third time coming to the North Austin Best Buy for a Pokémon drop, and it finally paid off in a big way. Some people showed up as early as 11 p.m., which sounds crazy, but that’s just how competitive it is when this store gets highly chased items. In the past, they usually only had a few big items, so a lot of us waited for hours and left empty-handed. Today, though, was different and honestly felt special. They put out around 40 of the big chased items, and it was also the first day I ever managed to get Prismatic SPC. The line was long, but the process felt much smoother and more organized than before, and the staff did a good job keeping things moving and fair. I’m really glad they increased the quantity this time, and I truly hope they keep doing it this way, because waiting for nothing is always discouraging. Thanks to that improvement, I actually had a great shopping experience today, and it reminded me why I keep coming back to this location for these drops. If they keep this up, this will become my go-to store for future releases.
Steve Takata a year agoBest Buy is a nationwide electronics store. Actually it’s international. If you need things in a hurry, this is probably your place instead of ordering them online. And they will usually match Amazon prices. They have an electronics repair service as well, and a pretty good extended warranty. Their selection is decent, but if you need something a little out of the ordinary, they probably will have to order it. Drones for example. They carry the basic more inexpensive drawings, but not the highest and was.
Erika Coffey 3 weeks agoDon’t be fooled by the “less than 1 hour pickup,” option online. They are lying. Ordered some items at 4:43 PM, didn’t receive any news before closing 4 hours and 15 minutes later, somehow, but don’t worry! Someone wasn’t too busy in the 20 minutes BEFORE OPENING for the day to email me at 9:40 am and say my order was finally ready… 15 hours later. Don’t waste your money here they don’t respect their customers.
Kevin Yeoh 7 months agoCame here to buy Amazon Kindle and managed to snag a black unit, which was the last unit. Store is pretty big with lots of electronics stuff to buy but personally for me, it has lost some of its lustre compared to 10 or 20 years ago. Staffs there were very helpful but some of the display items looks not well maintained, for example the car audio section.
Tawana Keah 2 months agoI had the most awful experience at this location. I went in to get my screen protector replaced as I have a warranty on it. A girl named America looked up my information and not only was she rude but she had a smart mouth. I felt like I was playing a trivia game. I asked to speak to a manager and that was a big mistake. She brought someone over named Alejandro who was no way manager material. It shows the low bar that Best Buy holds in standards of hiring people in management positions. I didn’t expect much from America since she was more concerned about sipping her Starbucks drink than helping customers. All I needed was a simple screen protector replacement and they acted rude and put off by helping me. Asking me questions they knew the answers to just to be condescending. When I decided to leave and not move forward with the transaction, some crazy-eyed employee with red makeup around her eyes got in my face and told me to leave. I asked who she was and she reply, “someone that is willing to get fired today”. Alejandro had to pull her out of my face. You need to take a strong look at who you have running this store. The fact that this “manager” allowed this to escalate like this is pretty sad. I am not sure why Best Buy doesn’t care how they are represented and allow this crazy looking girl who jumped in my face to even work there. She is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. I am sure that we will see this Best Buy location on the news and her being taken away in handcuffs. She clearly doesn’t need to be dealing with the public. Shame on you Best Buy.
