I dropped my work truck off early at the Best Buy location on Hulen Street near Southwest Loop 820 to have a rearview camera installed. The technicians drove the vehicle into the service bay and completed the installation. The rearview camera itself did work. However, when I returned to pick up my truck, the vehicle would not start at all. I could not remove it from the service bay and was forced to have the truck towed directly out of Best Buy’s bay at my own expense. Prior to dropping the vehicle off, the truck had no starting or electrical issues. After Best Buy’s service, it was completely inoperable. As a result, I incurred $250 in towing costs, $1,200 in diagnostic and repair expenses, and was without my work truck for an entire week, causing lost income and disruption to my business. Instead of taking responsibility, Best Buy required me to submit documentation to a third-party claims administrator (Sedgwick). After providing all requested paperwork, the claim was denied with the explanation that they “could not prove anything,” despite the fact that the vehicle became disabled while in their care and had to be towed out of their facility. This experience reflects a lack of accountability and declining service standards. I would not recommend Geek Squad Auto Services to any business owner or individual who depends on their vehicle. I am actively pursuing recovery for losses and damages caused by this negligence and am prepared to escalate further, including small claims court, if necessary.

If you buy an appliance from Best Buy, make sure you ask what they do with the old appliance. The delivery guys would not move the old refrigerator 30 feet to the garage for my wife. They said we did not pay for Removal service, so they left the old fridge in the middle of the kitchen. Attached is a picture of where the old fridge was left, partially blocking the entrance to the other room.

We drop off two laptops on Saturday morning, May 16th to be check out by GeekSquad. We pick up our two laptops on Sunday morning, May 17th, 2026. I want to really recognize Avi who assisted us at time of picking up the laptops. I want to say this employee really went beyond to provide the most exceptional customer service. He was very knowledgeable of the multiple computers processes. He explained in full detail how to to use and where to recognize any errors that may show up in the future. He was so patient and resourceful. I have never met a person who has that much talents in knowledge and customer service. Avi, thank you for being the best and for making us feel appreciated. Edith was so kind and helped me solve all of my problems with my product. She is their best employee. While waiting in line, she even reassured me that she would be right with me, along with other customers. I came in an angry customer and she went above and beyond to make things work out for me! I feel taken care of and will definitely bring my business back here.
